Behaviour

Please contact us if you become aware of any anti-social behaviour.

Noise

Noise is the most common problem, especially on terraced properties. Consider the position of televisions and speakers and avoid party walls.

Keep noise levels to a minimum especially after 11pm. Inform your neighbours about parties and ask friends to be quiet when leaving. Be considerate when returning late at night – do not talk loudly, bang car doors, or play loud music.

You may be committing a criminal offence if you cause noise problems in or outside your home.

Anti-social behaviour procedures

Most anti-social behaviour can be dealt with between the landlord and the tenants.

In extreme cases, the Landlord may contact the University or the police. If a complaint is made by other residents, a warning letter will be sent to the tenants. If anti-social behaviour continues, you will have broken the terms of your contract and further action will be taken.
